1 Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but examine the spirits, if they are from God, because many false-prophets have gone out into the world.
1 Jn 4:2 In this you know the spirit from God. Every spirit which confesses Jesus Christ having come in flesh is from God,
1 Jn 4:3 and every spirit which confesses not Jesus is not from God; and this is one from the antichrist, which you have heard that he comes, and now in the world is already.
1 Jn 4:4 You are from God, children, and have conquered them, since greater is He in you than he in the world.
1 Jn 4:5 These are from the world, by this they speak from the world, and the world hears them.
1 Jn 4:6 We are from God. One knowing God hears us, who is not from God hears us not. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of wandering.

Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one
another,
for love is from God,
and everyone loving is born from God,
and knows God.
1 Jn 4:8 One loving not, knows not God,
for God is love.
1 Jn 4:9 In this appeared the love of God in us, that His Son the Onlybegotten, God has sent into the world, that we may live through Him.
1
Jn 4:10 In this is the love,
not that we have loved God,
but that He loved us
and sent His Son,
expiation for our sins.
1 Jn 4:11 Beloved, if thus God loved us, we also owe one another love.
1 Jn 4:12 God, no one has ever seen. If we love one another, God remains in us and His love in us is perfected.
1 Jn 4:13 In this we know that in Him we remain, and He in us, that from His Spirit He has given us.
1 Jn 4:14 Also we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son, Savior of the world.
1 Jn 4:15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God in him remains and he in God.
1
Jn 4:16 Also we have known and
believed the love which God has in us.
God is love, and one remaining in love in God remains and God in him remains.
1 Jn 4:17 In this, love is perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, that just as He is, so we are in this world.
1 Jn 4:18 Fear is not in the love, but perfect love throws out the fear, because the fear has punishment, one then fearing is not perfected in the love.
1 Jn 4:19 We love, because He first loved us.
1 Jn 4:20 If one says, “I love God” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for one loving not his brother whom he has seen, God whom he has not seen he cannot love.
1 Jn 4:21 Also this, the command we have from Him, that one loving God would love also his brother.
1 Jn 5:1 All believing that Jesus is the Christ, from God is begotten, and each one loving the Begetting, loves the begotten from Him.
